Bereavement Office

The Bereavement Office offers advice, practical help and support for bereaved relatives in the period following the death of a loved one.

If you have lost a relative or friend whilst they were a patient at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, many staff will have been involved in their care during their stay and so on behalf of all of them we wish to express our condolences, sympathy and concern for you at this time. Maternity

If you would like to have your baby with the maternity team at the NNUH, you can go to their website and fill in an online self referral form. This applies to your first appointment for each pregnancy only. They will not turn any women away or delay their maternity treatment, even if they are not eligible for free care.

Midwifery Led Birthing Unit

Our Midwifery-led Birthing Unit (MLBU) is a birthing suite that provides a “home-from-home” environment for women with uncomplicated pregnancies and who are under the care of midwives. Our birthing unit has four birthing rooms, all with en-suite shower rooms. The rooms are sensitively decorated with soft lighting, audio equipment is available so that women can bring in their own music to create a homely and relaxing atmosphere. There are three birthing pools which women can use for labour and to give birth in if desired.

Delivery Suite

Their Delivery Suite has 15 rooms all with access to ensuite bathrooms and one water birth pool
