Everyone wants to feel that their home is secure, and although burglary isn’t common, it’s sensible to take precautions. A few simple security measures can reduce the risk and give you peace of mind. Their ‘Home security’ guide looks at simple and effective ways to improve your home security, including ways to protect your home, advice if you’re going away and where you can get help.
At Independent Age, we offer free national telephone information groups known as Good to Know groups on a range of topics relevant to those 65+. We want to spread the word about our work and are open for referrals.
We cover all kinds of topics, like wellbeing, social care, money and scams. In 2023 we held groups marking National Sleep Awareness Day, Stress Awareness Month, Pride Month and much more. We regularly host Scamwise and Moneywise groups, which are based on our guides and help to keep people alert and knowledgeable about your finances and safety.
