Crisis and Resilience Service (CRS)
What the Crisis and Resilience Service can help with
The Crisis and Resilience Service can help you with:
- Food and pre-payment energy support
- Heating oil support
- Essential items and costs support – such as:
- Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
- Water bills
- Clothing including uniforms, warm winter clothing and shoes
- Essential kitchen items and furniture. If good second-hand items are not available, we may provide new ones. All items come with warranties.
- Transport costs you need
- Digital and connectivity essentials
The service can also:
- Help you look after your money. We can help with budgeting, grants and finding cheaper utility bills.
- Put you in touch with people who can help if you have debt
- Connect you with support workers, advice services and local charities. For example, to get help with work, family life, addiction and your mental health. We can also help you find support from other people and groups if you are lonely.
- Help you claim Disability related expenses (DRE). This could mean you pay less towards your care.
If you sell any items we give you as part of this service, you may have to return them and may not be able to get help from this service again.
